IIOJK people living in dire situation created by presence of over one million Indian troops

Srinagar, July 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, political experts and analysts have expressed serious concern over the grim human rights situation in the territory.

The political experts and analysts in their statements and interviews in Srinagar deplored that the people of the territory have been living in dire situation created by more than one million Indian troops. They said IIOJK continues to reel under India’s illegal occupation for over seven decades. They said human rights violations in occupied territory have witnessed an unprecedented spike since the abrogation of special status of IIOJK by Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government on August 05, 2019.

The political experts and analysts said the Modi regime has set new records of rights violations in last 3 years in IIOJK. “Narendra Modi has turned Kashmir into a giant open-air prison denying even basic human right to its residents. Common man in Kashmir caught in daily cordons, searches, repression and torture. Indian authorities are randomly arresting civilians in IIOJK, invoking black laws against them and seizing private properties,” they said.

The political experts and analysts, however, maintained that Modi and his henchmen must know that their cruel methods against the Kashmiris are bound to fail as the Kashmiris are determined to continue their struggle to secure freedom from Indian occupation at all costs.

They said that the world should come forward in a big way to rescue the beleaguered people in IIOJK. “UN must fulfill its responsibility with regard to the lingering Kashmir dispute, which is a constant source of tension and instability in the south Asian region,” they added.
