Srinagar, October 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):Medical students in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have strongly protested against the recent decision of the Indian authorities to include 15% MBBS seats in the All India Quota (AIQ). The Indian administration has issued a decree that 50% of Post Graduate (PG) seats and 15% of MBBS seats will be distributed in the All India Quota.
This decision of the administration has been severely criticized by the MBBS students of the occupied area. The students say that the administration has put the future of local medical students at risk by enrolling non-local medical students in undergraduate and graduate programs. A student said that only students residing in Jammu and Kashmir should be eligible for postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. He said that the move would increase unemployment among doctors in Jammu and Kashmir.
