Jammu, December 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in the wake of the ongoing Rail-Roko strike, commuters stranded in Jammu are struggling to reach their respective destinations. Lack of facilities at Jammu Bus Stand has added to their woes.
Stranded passengers while talking to media said that they have to stand in long queues to buy a ticket. “There has been no electricity at the bus stand since morning and we are finding it hard to reach the ticket counters in darkness,” they said, adding, “The J and K government has failed to take steps to clear the stranded passengers due to suspension of train services. On the other hand private bus operators are looting the passengers.”
They said that no one from the administration has visited them to help them out. “There seems to be no government in J and K,” said a devotee who had returned from Katra. Rail Roko strike is being observed by Sikh farmers in support of their demands including ransom for the farmers died during the months long farmers protest in India.
