Srinagar, Dr. Syed Sajjad Nazir, a prominent doctor from Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), has been honored with the prestigious Oliver Trexar Award. This accolade recognizes his significant contribution to the field of urology, particularly in the application of laser techniques for treating upper ureteric calculi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Nazir, who heads the Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation at SS Hospital Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, received the award for his outstanding video presentation. His presentation, which detailed innovative methodologies in laser treatment, was highly acclaimed by peers and experts in the field.

The award was presented during the 6th Advancements in Endourology, held in Ahmedabad, India, from December 15-17, 2023. The event was attended by an esteemed international faculty and provided a platform for showcasing Dr. Nazir’s groundbreaking work.
