IIOJK Authorities Demolish Twelve Shops of Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have demolished twelve shops owned by Kashmiri Pandit migrants, raising concerns among the local community.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Jammu Municipal Corporation, in conjunction with the Jammu Development Authority, carried out the demolition in the Muthi township on the outskirts of Jammu district without issuing prior notice to the shop owners. The affected shopkeepers have expressed their distress, stating that the demolition has left them without a source of livelihood.

Residents of the area reported being taken aback by the sudden appearance of a bulldozer near the shops, with officials instructing the shopkeepers to vacate the premises immediately. The shopkeepers, who had established small businesses to sustain themselves, now face an uncertain future. Despite their appeals, the officials present during the demolition did not heed their requests for reconsideration.
