Karachi, In a significant move to bolster the welfare and well-being of police personnel, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh has launched a series of strategic initiatives. The comprehensive programs encompass healthcare provisions, educational support for the families of jawans, a Sindh Police Welfare Fund, and housing needs provisions.
According to a news release by the IGP Sindh, the primary goal of these initiatives is to ensure that the police force is well-equipped and supported to perform their duties efficiently. The IGP acknowledges the demanding nature of police work and has introduced counseling and mental health support to address these challenges. Worthy IGP Sindh prioritizes the welfare and financial assistance of the police personnel, recognizing them as the true face of the department.
Furthermore, the Sindh Police Benevolent/Welfare Fund is actively contributing to the welfare of the police personnel. It offers a one-time Immediate Relief Fund to cover funeral expenses for the bereaved families of martyred police personnel. Demonstrating this commitment, the Khairpur Police recently extended their support by presenting a disbursement cheque to the widow of a martyred Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The initiatives by IGP Sindh reflect a substantial step towards acknowledging the hard work and sacrifices of the police personnel, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support. These measures are expected to have a positive impact on the morale and well-being of the police force, enhancing their ability to serve and protect the community.
