IGP Sindh Discusses Enhancements in Police Station Record Management at Hyderabad, SBA, and Mirpurkhas Ranges

Karachi, A meeting chaired by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon focused on enhancing the Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS) across Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Mirpurkhas divisions, aiming to improve crime registration and police efficiency.

According to Sindh Police, the discussions involved DIGs from the respective divisions via video link, emphasizing the proposal for the next financial year’s budget allocation to make police stations financially autonomous. This autonomy is aimed at improving administrative and financial management at the station level, including audit capabilities.

IG Sindh stressed the importance of accelerating efforts against drug mafias and other serious criminals to ensure swift justice. He advocated for the utilization of PSRMS to better prepare against future criminal activities and emphasized the need for stringent measures to ensure that all crimes, particularly murder cases, are resolved conclusively.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of assigning capable officers to key roles within police stations and enforcing strict disciplinary actions to maintain the policy of free FIR registration. IG Sindh proposed the establishment of model police stations in every district, staffed by personnel trained in community-friendly and courteous practices.
