ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, implemented a detailed security plan during Eid-ul-Fitr, ensuring a peaceful celebration across the city. The strategic approach resulted in no reported incidents during the holiday period.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the department facilitated families visiting recreational areas by deploying over 7,000 officers for security and traffic management duties. These efforts were aimed at maintaining order and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic, allowing citizens to enjoy the festivities without disruption.
IGP Rizvi commended the officers for their dedication, noting that they sacrificed their own Eid celebrations to prioritize public safety. He highlighted the officers’ commitment to duty, which was instrumental in keeping Islamabad secure during the holiday.
He noted that the security measures reflected the effectiveness of the police force’s strategy, crediting all ranks within the department for their contribution to the city’s safety. Rizvi reaffirmed the police’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents.
Expressing gratitude towards the business community, media, and residents, the IGP acknowledged their cooperation in the successful execution of security plans. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to maintain peace in the capital city.
