IGP Islamabad Urges Vigilance in Maintaining Law and Order, Announces Bonus for Police Personnel


Islamabad: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has reaffirmed the Islamabad Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order, emphasizing the importance of constant vigilance and readiness to handle any emerging security challenges in the capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi made these remarks during his visit to D-Chowk and other key duty points, where he met with police officers, including female personnel, and commended their efforts in ensuring the city’s safety. He instructed officers to remain highly alert and prepared to safeguard the lives and property of citizens, as well as commercial assets, against any potential threats.



The IGP praised the police force for their dedication, particularly in protecting foreign delegations during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and handling recent law and order situations. He also announced a bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary for all officers in recognition of their hard work and bravery.



IGP Rizvi directed senior officers to ensure that their subordinates are properly equipped and prepared for duty, stressing the importance of regular supervision to ensure effective law enforcement across the city.
