IGP Islamabad Reviews Progress of Security and Safe City Projects


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a review of security operations and development projects during a visit to the Security division and Safe City Islamabad. The visit focused on assessing the progress of ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing safety measures in the region.



During the visit, IGP Rizvi was briefed by SSP Security Division Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider. The discussions highlighted the status of construction projects and the implementation of the “Cascade” system within the Security division.



IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of completing all ongoing projects in a timely manner to bolster the security infrastructure. He provided directives to ensure that the projects meet their deadlines and contribute effectively to the overarching security framework.



In addition to the Security division, IGP Rizvi toured the Safe City Command and Control Center. DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar provided insights into the technical capabilities of the Safe City system, including its response time and role in crime prevention.



Acknowledging the efforts of the Safe City team, IGP Rizvi expressed appreciation for their work and urged further improvements to enhance the system’s efficiency in safeguarding the city.
