ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, visited the Capital Police College to assess the training standards being imparted to law enforcement personnel. During his visit, IGP Rizvi engaged with DIG Law and Order/Training, Muhammad Atiq Tahir, to discuss the current training regimen and the ongoing efforts to enhance police professionalism.
DIG Tahir briefed IGP Rizvi on the training system and highlighted the courses being offered to improve the skills and capabilities of police officers. IGP Rizvi expressed his approval of the initiatives underway at the college and emphasized the need for further modernization of the training programs. He underscored the importance of high-quality and updated training in fostering an effective police force.
Prior to IGP Rizvi’s visit, DIG Tahir had conducted his own review of the training systems shortly after assuming his role. He led strategic discussions with AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP Law and Order/Training Muhammad Iqbal, and other senior officers to evaluate the current training standards and discuss upcoming programs.
DIG Tahir instructed the officers to advance the training standards further and to introduce new courses and workshops designed to prepare police personnel for contemporary security challenges. He reiterated the goal of these programs to instill professionalism, discipline, and modern skills within the force.
He reaffirmed his commitment to organizing additional training opportunities to support the ongoing professional development of police officers and personnel.
