IGP Islamabad Prioritizes Public Grievances in Open Court Initiative

Islamabad: In a bid to address public grievances more effectively, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted an open court session at the Central Police Office under an open-door policy. This initiative aims to facilitate direct interaction between the police and the public.

During the session, IGP Rizvi listened attentively to the concerns of both citizens and police officers, issuing immediate instructions to relevant officers for problem resolution. He emphasized that the prompt and fair resolution of citizens’ issues is a top priority for the Islamabad Police.

The open court, held regularly, allows any citizen facing police-related issues to raise their concerns directly with the IGP. “My doors are always open to the public,” Rizvi stated, reinforcing his commitment to transparency and accessibility.

In response to the complaints received, IGP Rizvi directed officers to resolve applications on merit within a specified timeframe, with reports to be submitted to the Central Police Office. He further instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to maintain regular office hours for public interaction and ensure timely resolution of issues.

The IGP highlighted that the Islamabad Police is implementing various measures to facilitate citizens, with the daily open court sessions playing a crucial role in prioritizing and addressing public grievances efficiently.
