Islamabad: In a move to address public grievances efficiently, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted an open court session at the Central Police Office in Islamabad. This initiative, held under an open-door policy, aims to facilitate direct communication between the police force and the community.
During the session, IGP Rizvi engaged with both citizens and police officers, attentively listening to their issues. He provided on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers, emphasizing the importance of resolving matters on merit and within a specified timeframe.
IGP Rizvi reiterated that the prompt and fair resolution of citizens’ problems is a top priority for the Islamabad Police. He assured the public of his accessibility, encouraging anyone facing police-related issues to participate in the open court.
In response to citizen complaints, the IGP issued directives for the concerned officers to address applications on merit and report back to the Central Police Office. He also instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to strictly adhere to their office hours, ensuring they meet with the public and resolve issues promptly.
Further emphasizing the Islamabad Police’s commitment to citizen facilitation, IGP Rizvi highlighted that the daily conduct of open courts is instrumental in addressing grievances efficiently and effectively, reflecting the department’s dedication to serving the community.
