ISLAMABAD: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an open court at the Central Police Office, listening to the concerns of both citizens and police officers. He issued immediate directives for the resolution of these issues, emphasizing that addressing citizens’ grievances on merit is a top priority.
During the session, IGP Rizvi reiterated his commitment to ensuring that negligence and carelessness in duties would not be tolerated. He encouraged citizens facing police-related issues to attend the open court sessions, ensuring them that his office is always accessible.
IGP Rizvi instructed senior police officers to resolve grievances within a stipulated timeframe and report back to the Central Police Office. He also stressed that all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) adhere to designated office hours and give precedence to citizen issues.
Highlighting the measures being taken by the Islamabad Police to facilitate citizens, IGP Rizvi noted that the daily holding of open courts helps in addressing issues promptly. He directed zonal officers and SHOs to meet with citizens during office hours to ensure timely and merit-based resolution of their concerns.
