IGP Islamabad Outlines Security Measures in Briefing to CTD Officers


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held a briefing for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officers at the Police Lines Headquarters, focusing on the city’s security and public safety measures.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the session was attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jamil Zafar, SSP CTD Saud Khan, and other senior police officials. The IGP emphasized the need for efficient and timely utilization of resources to ensure the safety of citizens in the federal capital and urged officers to be prepared for immediate response in any situation.



IGP Rizvi also reviewed security arrangements during processions at Sain Bota Darbar and Ali Masjid G-7/2, stressing the importance of timely and effective implementation of safety measures. In a subsequent meeting with DIG Headquarters and SSP Special Protection Unit, he directed officers to maintain coordination, tackle crime, and protect citizens’ lives and property.



Additionally, IGP Rizvi met with SP Soan zone and SHOs to discuss crime prevention, police station performance, and enhancing police services. He instructed officers to conduct operations against criminal elements, improve patrols, and resolve citizens’ issues promptly.
