ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, convened a series of pivotal meetings at the Central Police Office, focusing on enhancing investigative processes and improving traffic management within the city.

The meetings featured attendance from key police officials, including DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Legal, SSP Investigation, SP City, CTO Islamabad, and SP Traffic. IGP Rizvi conducted a comprehensive review of the current investigative procedures, emphasizing the need for thorough preparation of legal documents and the elimination of loopholes that might hinder court proceedings.

In his address, IGP Rizvi underscored the importance of integrating modern technology into the investigation system. He noted that the timely collection of forensic evidence and the application of digital tools would expedite case resolutions and enhance the overall effectiveness of justice delivery.

IGP Rizvi called for a strategic focus on human resources, advocating for teamwork and professional training to equip the police force in tackling contemporary challenges effectively. He stressed that investigations should be conducted based on evidence and legal standards to ensure justice is served impartially.

In discussions concerning traffic management, IGP Rizvi directed the CTO to implement special measures during ongoing city development projects. He highlighted the necessity of informing citizens about alternative routes and traffic plans through awareness initiatives to ease congestion during peak hours.

Further, IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to improve the transparency of the licensing system and proposed the establishment of enhanced driving test tracks for public convenience.

IGP Rizvi reaffirmed the Islamabad Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order, crime prevention, adherence to traffic regulations, and providing optimal services to the capital’s residents.
