Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted an open court session at the Central Police Office in Islamabad, where he addressed the issues faced by citizens and police officers. This initiative aims to ensure timely resolution of concerns by issuing directives to senior police officers.
During the session, IGP Rizvi emphasized that the primary focus of the police is to resolve citizens’ issues fairly and efficiently. He assured that negligence in police duties would not be tolerated, inviting citizens to access the open court for any police-related grievances. The IGP reiterated that his office is always open for citizens.
IGP Rizvi instructed officers to address grievances within a specific timeframe and report their actions to the Central Police Office. He urged all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to adhere to office hours and prioritize resolving citizens’ concerns.
Highlighting ongoing efforts, the IGP stated that the Islamabad Police are implementing various measures to facilitate citizens. He mentioned that holding open court sessions daily aids in addressing issues more promptly.
Additionally, all zonal officers and SHOs have been directed to engage with citizens during office hours to ensure their concerns are resolved effectively and on merit.
