Islamabad: The Islamabad Police, under the directive of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a special event at the Capital Police College to commemorate Labour Day, recognizing the significant role of workers in Pakistan’s development.
The event brought together workers from various sectors, with senior police officials, including SP Capital Police College Najeeb Shah and Director Special Initiatives Shams-ul-Haq Durrani, in attendance.
At the gathering, senior police officers acknowledged the contributions and sacrifices of the working class, emphasizing their vital role in the nation’s progress. Workers were presented with gifts in appreciation of their efforts.
In his Labour Day message, IGP Rizvi highlighted the importance of recognizing the dignity and resilience of laborers. He emphasized the necessity of respecting workers for their hard work rather than their social status.
IGP Rizvi called for the protection of workers’ rights to ensure they lead lives of dignity and peace. He stressed that Labour Day should serve as a reminder of the critical role workers play in building life and urged for both respect and appropriate facilities for them.
The event served as a platform to appreciate the silent but crucial contributions of workers, reinforcing their role as the foundation of progress and prosperity.
