IGP Islamabad Honors Martyrs, Leads Eid Prayers with Officers

Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi led Eid-Ul-Fitr prayers at the Police Lines Headquarters alongside officers, paying tribute to the martyrs of Islamabad Police. Post-prayer, special prayers were offered for national security, the Muslim community, and the martyrs’ honor.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi exchanged Eid greetings with officers, visited the martyrs’ memorial, laid floral wreaths, and emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the martyrs. He acknowledged the bravery of those who sacrificed their lives for peace, declaring them the pride of the force.

A special meal was organized at the headquarters for the families of the martyrs and police officers, with IGP Rizvi joining them. He also visited checkpoints and divisions, meeting officers on duty and distributing Eid gifts to those stationed at various locations.

In his address, IGP Rizvi highlighted the dedication of his force in ensuring the safety of citizens during Eid. He commended the force’s commitment to maintaining peace, describing the peaceful Eid celebration as a reflection of the police’s effective strategy. He reiterated the readiness of Islamabad Police to make sacrifices for the city’s and country’s peace.
