IGP Islamabad Conducts Performance Review of DSPs

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted a comprehensive review of the performance of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) across the district, emphasizing merit-based selections and enhanced public service.

During the review, IGP Rizvi issued orders for the posting of officers who demonstrated commendable performance as Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) in various circles. He highlighted the significance of SDPOs being directly responsible for their respective areas and stressed the importance of providing optimal services to citizens in collaboration with their subordinates.

IGP Rizvi underscored that the performance of supervisory-level officers impacts the overall efficacy of the police force. He urged officers to take a personal interest in crime prevention and case resolution, emphasizing that public service should be their foremost mission.

Following the performance review, IGP Rizvi held an “Orderly Room” session at his office to address official and personal appeals from police officers. Fourteen of the fifteen appeals submitted were approved, with one rejected. He directed senior officers to expedite all pending inquiries and prioritize resolving officers’ issues.

IGP Rizvi reiterated the importance of police welfare, stating that the resolution of officers’ problems remains a top priority. He assured that his office is always open to police officers, with the Orderly Room aimed at boosting morale and addressing concerns.
