ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting at Safe City Islamabad to assess the law and order situation and strategies for crime prevention in the federal capital. The meeting was attended by senior police officials, including all Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs), Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs), and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs).

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP was briefed on counter-terrorism efforts, security measures at sensitive locations, and strategies for effective inter-agency coordination. IGP Rizvi emphasized the need for intensified operations against criminal elements and called for strengthened intelligence-led policing. He directed that security at key installations be prioritized while maintaining professionalism and courtesy in citizen interactions.

The IGP also highlighted the importance of improving police station culture and ensuring a timely response to public complaints. He stressed the need for proactive field policing and effective resource utilization to protect citizens’ lives and property, alongside strategies to improve traffic flow.

In a subsequent meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) Islamabad, attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, IGP Rizvi focused on administrative, welfare, and logistical matters. He directed the alignment of departmental affairs with modern requirements and reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the police force, emphasizing the delivery of quality services to citizens.
