Islamabad: In a recent meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, senior police officials gathered to address the current crime situation in the federal capital and discuss strategies to enhance public safety. The discussions focused on improving crime prevention measures through technology-driven policing, prioritizing the resolution of ongoing investigations, and reinforcing public trust in law enforcement.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting, attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza, and other senior officers, highlighted several key areas of focus. These included the operations of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), ongoing crackdowns against robbery and dacoity, and the overall strategy for crime prevention. IGP Rizvi emphasized the importance of intelligence-based operations and directed officers to enhance their effectiveness and organization.

IGP Rizvi underscored the need for prompt resolution of investigations and stressed that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the primary responsibility of the police. He advocated for the increased use of modern technology and intelligence resources to prevent criminal activities and restore public confidence in the police force.

Following the meeting, IGP Rizvi visited the Central Police Office (CPO) canteen to assess food quality and hygiene standards. He directed improvements in these areas and shared a meal with officers and staff, reiterating the importance of police welfare and service delivery.
