Karachi, A meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja, was held on Wednesday to establish a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for recognizing and rewarding investigation officers of the Sindh Police. The SOP aims to acknowledge officers who exhibit exceptional skills in handling case investigations and contribute to ensuring justice.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the DIGP Admin Karachi presented the proposed SOP, which outlines the criteria for awarding rewards and certificates to investigation officers. The criteria are based on the successful investigation of cases and the duration of sentences handed down by courts upon case conclusions.
Attendees of the meeting included DIGsP Finance, Admin Karachi, Investigation Karachi, Crime and Investigation Sindh, and AIGsP of Finance, Admin, and Operation Sindh.
IG Sindh Riffat Mukhtar Raja emphasized the importance of the SOP in recognizing the dedication and hard work of investigation officers. He pointed out that their efforts ensure justice at all stages of the legal process and contribute to the exemplary punishment of individuals involved in various crimes. Raja directed the meeting participants to swiftly submit comprehensive recommendations for the implementation of the proposed SOP, underscoring the need for actionable measures.
The introduction of this SOP reflects the Sindh Police Department’s commitment to encouraging high standards in criminal investigations and recognizing the significant contributions of its officers.
