Karachi, The Central Police Office in Karachi hosted a significant meeting focused on the Internal Accountability Bureau (IAB), chaired by IG Sindh Rifaat Mukhtar Raja. The meeting centered around reviewing the progress of pending inquiries and disciplinary proceedings within the IAB, with IG Sindh emphasizing the need for a rapid conclusion of these matters. According to DIRECTOR PRESS, IG Sindh reviewed the progress reports of the IAB, including all pending inquiries and disciplinary proceedings. He issued orders for the completion of pending inquiries against officers found guilty to be finalized within one week and subsequently sent for review. This directive reflects a commitment to swift and effective internal accountability within the police department.
High-ranking officials including Additional IG Training/IAB Abdul Qadir Qayyum, DIGs, IT, Finance, and AIGs, Operations Sindh, Admin, and Compliance Cell were present in the meeting. Participants directly engaged in the discussions, while other pool officers associated with the IAB joined through a video link. The meeting’s primary objective was to ensure that internal processes within the police department are handled efficiently and transparently, with a focus on upholding the principles of justice and accountability.
