Karachi, Inspector General of Sindh Police, Rafat Mukhtar Raja, recently visited the Police Hospital Garden in Karachi, focusing on improving medical facilities for Sindh police employees and the general public. During his visit, he inspected various departments of the hospital, including the General Ward, Gynecology Ward, Laboratory, Operation Theater, and Outpatient Department (OPD).
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the IG Sindh inquired about the medical facilities provided to patients and inspected the hospital’s medicine stock. He issued instructions to ensure the availability of essential medicines. Raja emphasized the need for providing the best medical facilities for the treatment and welfare of Sindh police employees. He also highlighted the importance of a national-level medical prevention program for diseases like polio, tuberculosis, diphtheria, whooping cough, hepatitis, cold, flu, and others, including the availability of vaccinations against HIV at the Police Hospital.
IG Sindh expressed his commitment to offering quality medical facilities to patients visiting the OPD daily. He received a detailed briefing about the hospital’s affairs and the medical facilities provided to patients. Raja announced plans for surprise future visits to ensure the presence and performance of doctors and staff. Under his direction, the hospital’s machinery and equipment were reviewed, and the need for modern upgrades was discussed.
IG Sindh stated his ambition to transform the Police Hospital into the best hospital in Karachi, emphasizing the importance of taking measures to improve it and make it a state-of-the-art facility. His visit was accompanied by the Additional IG Welfare and Finance, AIG Welfare Sindh, and other senior police officers.
