IG Sindh Chairs Meeting to Review Law and Order in Shikarpur

Karachi, IGP Sindh, Rafat Mukhtar Raja, conducted a visit to the district of Shikarpur to review the law and order situation, holding a high-level meeting with senior officers at the SSP Office.

According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, upon arrival in Shikarpur, IGP Sindh was welcomed by DI Shikarpur, G Larkana, and SSP Shikarpur, Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan. The police’s Chak and Choband squad presented a general salute to Rafat Mukhtar Raja. The visit included a moment of respect at the martyrs’ memorial, where IGP Sindh and other officers recited Fatiha.

During the meeting, SSP Shikarpur briefed the IGP about the raw and law and order situation in the district. IGP Sindh announced that strict action would be taken against criminals in both the raw and cooked areas of Shikarpur. He emphasized the use of modern weapons and tactics against organized crime, with both the police and Rangers participating in operations. Special focus was placed on the protection of Kucha and Pukka areas and ensuring law and order in Kacha.

IGP Sindh mentioned that assistance from the Punjab Police would be sought to apprehend dacoits in Kacha and prevent robberies and crimes. The meeting underscored the importance of action against facilitators and helpers of criminals, reaffirming that safeguarding the life and property of citizens is a top priority for the Sindh Police.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including DIG Larkana Nasir Aftab, DIG Sukkur Abdul Hameed Khosa, SSP Sukkur Irfan Ali Samu, SSP Rohail Khoso, and SSP Special Branch Mansoor Mughal. The IGP Sindh concluded by stating that operations in Kutch would continue until the eradication of banditry.
