IG Punjab’s Initiative Provides Home for Family of Fallen Officer

Rahim Yar Khan: Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has continued his commitment to supporting the families of police officers who have died in the line of duty by providing a house for the family of Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed.

The Punjab Police spokesperson announced that a house valued at 13.5 million rupees has been purchased in the Azizabad area of Rahim Yar Khan, following the preferences of Constable Ahmed’s family. This initiative is part of IG Punjab’s ongoing mission to ensure that families of fallen officers have their own homes.

Shaheed Constable Imtiaz Ahmed was killed in 2024 when dacoits opened fire at a checkpoint while he was on duty. His family, comprising his parents, four brothers, and four sisters, will now have a residence thanks to the special efforts of IG Punjab and the released funds from the Government of Punjab.

Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute to Constable Imtiaz Ahmed, acknowledging his sacrifice and commitment to duty. This initiative reflects the Punjab Police’s dedication to honoring and supporting the families of those who have given their lives in service.
