Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, held a meeting with inspectors from Lahore and other districts at the Central Police Office. The discussion centered on the challenges inspectors face regarding their promotions, with Dr. Anwar promising swift action to address these concerns.
According to a statement by Punjab Police, IG Anwar assured the inspectors that their legitimate promotion issues would be resolved as a priority. He directed the Additional IG Punjab and DIG Establishment-I to swiftly tackle any obstacles in the promotion process. The IG underscored the commitment of Punjab Police to a “No Man Left Behind” policy, ensuring that personnel meeting the criteria of seniority, merit, and rules receive immediate promotions.
Dr. Anwar also pointed out the ongoing initiatives to promote paperless operations, including the timely completion of Annual Confidential Reports through the Human Resource Management System. The meeting highlighted the implementation of the digitized e-FOAS system for issuing promotion notifications, with Dr. Anwar expressing optimism that 2025 will be a year of significant promotions.
He further emphasized the role of digital technology in enhancing transparency in recruitment, promotions, and postings, contributing to increased trust within the force. The integration of the Human Resource Management and e-FOAS system is seen as pivotal in driving this transparency forward.
