IG Punjab Visits Elite Training School, Emphasizes on Modern Training and Technology for Elite Force

Lahore, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar recently visited the Elite Training School and Headquarters on Bedian Road, Lahore, underscoring the importance of enhancing the Elite Force’s training with modern skills and technologies. He stressed the need for advanced training in long-range weaponry and night vision technology, particularly for operations in challenging terrains like hilly and riverine areas.

According to Punjab Police, The visit by Punjab Police highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the Elite Force’s capabilities in combating terrorists, fundamentalists, and criminals. Dr. Anwar called for regular training workshops and mock exercises to enhance the response rate and skills of the Elite Force, utilizing the expertise of crime fighting and special operations instructors. He also instructed that the force’s officials be provided with the best facilities and hygienic food. During his visit, Dr. Anwar reviewed the development works at the Elite Training School and Headquarters, inspecting the construction of residential blocks and other facilities. He was briefed by SSP Headquarters Elite Force Dr. Nida Umar Chatta and other senior officers, including Additional IG Elite Dr. Muhammad Waqar Abbasi and DIG Elite Sadiq Ali Dogar, about professional matters and development projects.
