Lahore, Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar has emphasized the importance of promptly addressing the service-related grievances of police employees and their families, ensuring merit-based relief and welfare. According to Punjab Police, during a recent meeting at the Central Police Office, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar interacted with police employees and their families, issuing orders to address their problems. This included reviewing and acting on applications concerning transfers, promotions, and disciplinary actions to ensure fair and quick resolutions.
Notable actions taken by Dr. Anwar included forwarding a transfer cancellation request from Constable Arslan Anwar, addressing posthumous service-related appeals for former Constable Muhammad Qasim Umar, and promoting the fixation of three sub-inspectors from the Sahiwal region. Additionally, welfare measures like the provision of maintenance allowances and educational scholarships were ordered to support the families of deceased and serving police personnel.
Dr. Anwar’s directive to supervisory officers to maintain close contact with subordinates and personally oversee timely problem resolution underscores a commitment to enhancing the welfare and morale of the police force in Punjab.
