Lahore, In a significant gesture of support and concern, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar convened a meeting with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office, where he attentively listened to their requests and promptly issued orders for their relief.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting was marked by several directives aimed at addressing the diverse needs and challenges faced by the police personnel and their kin. Dr. Anwar sent the application of Constable Amjad Hussain’s son, seeking recruitment on a family claim, to AIG Admin for necessary action, demonstrating the department’s commitment to family welfare and support.
Further, he instructed that action be taken based on merit regarding the application of Lahore Police Inspector Ghulam Ibn Ali’s son for a junior clerk position. The importance of meritocracy and fairness in recruitment processes was underscored through this directive.
In response to a request for financial assistance for cancer treatment for the wife of retired Assistant Muhammad Ali, Dr. Anwar directed DIG Welfare to provide the necessary relief, showcasing the department’s empathy and support for its members facing health crises.
Additionally, the IG ordered AIG Development to process the request of Data Entry Operator Rabia Ali for obtaining official residence, further ensuring that the welfare of the police force and their families is a priority.
Relief was also directed for the medical expenses of Head Constable Ali Akbar and Constable Amanat Ali, emphasizing the department’s commitment to the health and well-being of its personnel.
Dr. Anwar also took action on the request for the recruitment of the children of Constable Zafar Iqbal and Saifullah on a family claim, reflecting the organization’s policy to support the families of its employees.
In his statement, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the necessity for all officers to diligently provide relief on the requests submitted and to report back to the Central Police Office, reinforcing the culture of responsiveness and support within the Punjab Police.
