IG Punjab Takes Personal Interest in Police Welfare, Orders Relief Measures


Lahore, In a significant move demonstrating leadership commitment to personnel welfare, Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, personally met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office to address their concerns. Dr. Anwar issued orders for immediate relief after carefully listening to the issues faced by the force’s members.



According to Punjab Police, the IG directed the AIG Admin and the DPO Rajanpur to act on the application of the son of the late Constable Muhammad Akbar for recruitment as a junior clerk and to settle any outstanding arrears. Further actions included instructing the CCPO Lahore to consider the request of Lady Constable Ayesha Siddiqa for official housing and directing the CTO Lahore to reassess the salary package of Dr. Saim, a veterinary doctor at the Police Animal Rescue Center, for possible enhancement.



Moreover, on receiving a request for the promotion reevaluation of ASI Zafar Abbas from Jhang Police, the IG mandated the RPO Faisalabad to offer relief after a personal review. These directives were part of a broader response to various requests from employees concerning discipline, welfare, and administrative matters.



Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the welfare of police employees in professional arenas remains a top priority, signaling ongoing efforts to improve conditions and support for the workforce. This hands-on approach by the IG Punjab underscores a proactive stance towards enhancing the well-being and operational effectiveness of the police force in Punjab.
