IG Punjab Takes Immediate Action on Police Employees’ Requests for Relief

Lahore, In a significant move aimed at addressing the welfare of police personnel, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office in Lahore, where he issued immediate relief orders on various applications presented by them.

According to Punjab Police, during this meeting, IG Punjab personally reviewed requests from several officers and their families, including the wife of martyred constable Iftikhar Ahmed, who applied for an official quarter. This application was forwarded to SSP Admin Lahore for necessary action. Additionally, IG Punjab directed the Additional IG Punjab to ensure merit-based relief on service-related applications from Sub-Inspectors Tikka Khan and Ubaidullah. Relief measures also included addressing the promotion request of Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arshad and providing an official quarter to wireless operator Constable Hafiz Tanveer Ahmed, with the respective directives sent to DIG Telecommunication for action.

Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of promptly processing all applications to provide maximum relief to police employees, covering welfare, discipline, and professional matters.
