IG Punjab Takes Immediate Action on Police Employees’ Requests for Assistance

Lahore, During a recent engagement at the Central Police Office, Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with police employees and their families to address and expedite resolutions for their submitted applications and requests, emphasizing the department’s commitment to employee welfare.

According to Punjab Police, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar personally reviewed the appeals from police personnel and their family members, directing swift responses to ensure timely relief. Notable directives included the order for DPO Sheikhupura to resolve the salary issuance for mechanic Saqlain Ali and instructions for the Additional IG Punjab to process promotion appeals for Sub-Inspectors Umair Javed, Shahzeb Tariq, and Zia-ul-Haq. Furthermore, the request to recognize Head Constable Muhammad Qadir as Ghazi was referred to DIG Welfare for resolution, while AIG Admin was tasked to evaluate recruitment applications on family claims, including one for the son of Constable Ali Muhammad.

Dr. Usman Anwar also addressed individual requests, such as providing legal aid for Sub-Inspector Abuzar Amjad and facilitating leave for Lady Trainee Sub-Inspector Kaynat Shahzadi, underscoring a proactive approach to addressing the needs and concerns of police staff and their kin. He reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to its members’ welfare, pledging ongoing prioritization of actions to alleviate their issues promptly.
