IG Punjab Takes Immediate Action on Police Employees’ Concerns


Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem convened a meeting with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office, issuing immediate orders to address their concerns. IG Punjab listened to various issues raised by employees and their families, directing officers to provide swift relief.



According to Punjab Police, Sub-Inspector Nadeem Sabir’s request for financial assistance for his son’s treatment prompted the Additional IG Welfare and Finance to be tasked with offering relief. In response to a legal issue raised by retired Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf, DIG Operations Lahore was instructed to take necessary action. Constable Nisar Abbas’s request for promotion was directed to DIG Establishment-II for consideration.



Further actions included directing DIG Welfare and Finance to provide assistance to Inspector Asif Sajad, who requested financial help for his son’s medical treatment. The mother of late Inspector Asif Hamid sought recruitment and financial aid for her son, receiving attention from DIG Welfare and Finance. The son of late ASI Safdar Ali also requested recruitment, with DIG Welfare and Finance asked to consider his case. IG Punjab Abdul Kareem issued additional orders on matters of discipline, administration, promotion, and welfare.
