Lahore, 15 Oct 2023: Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, undertook an official visit to the Police Khidmat Centre at Liberty Market. During his visit, he assessed the staff’s performance and interacted with citizens to gauge the quality of services provided. He was accompanied by Additional IG Welfare and Finance, Muhammad Nazir Gara, and other senior police officials.
Dr. Anwar’s visit was part of his efforts to oversee the operational efficiency of such centers and to ensure that citizens are receiving satisfactory services. SDPO Gulberg ASP Syeda Shaherbano provided a comprehensive briefing to the senior officers about recent advancements and enhancements at the service center.
Emphasizing the importance of the Police Khidmat Centres, IG Punjab highlighted that the centers have successfully offered policing services to approximately 1.75 crore individuals throughout the province. These centers are designed to provide more than 14 police-related services, such as character certification and driving license renewal, under a single roof. Furthermore, Dr. Anwar noted the positive feedback received from the public, with 96 percent of citizens expressing satisfaction through automated robo calls.
In his conversations with the staff, Dr. Usman Anwar underscored the need for impeccable service and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy. He emphasized the imperative to serve all citizens equitably, ensuring they experience a conducive environment when seeking police services.
