LAHORE, In a continued effort to prioritize the health welfare of the police force and their families, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has sanctioned the release of additional funds.
According to Punjab Police, a number of police personnel have benefitted from these funds. Vehari Police Inspector Muhammad Javed received 06 lakh rupees for eye treatment. Constable Waqar Aslam of Gujarat Police was allocated Rs. 05 lakhs for spinal cord treatment, while Ghazi Constable Faisal Nadeem of Narowal Police obtained Rs 03 lakhs for leg treatment. Constable Abdul Rehman from Dera Ghazi Khan Police was given 02 lakh rupees for medical treatment. In Faisalabad, PHP constable Munwar Zia was provided more than 01 lakh 60 thousand rupees for his son’s hearing device battery. Ghazi Constable Muhammad Irfan, also of Faisalabad Police, received 01 lakh 50 thousand rupees for plastic surgery procedures. ASI Muhammad Arshad of PHP Lahore was granted 01 lakh 20 thousand rupees to address a serious health condition. The cases for the disbursement of these funds were sent to IG Punjab by Additional IG Finance and Welfare, Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the continuation of such health welfare measures. He expressed his commitment to ensuring all possible relief for police employees and their families in dealing with health-related issues. Dr. Usman Anwar reiterated that as the head of the Punjab Police Force, the welfare of the force remains one of his top priorities, and he pledges to utilize all available resources to enhance measures in this domain.
