IG Punjab has directed supervisory officers of the province to take action against hoarding and profiteering on daily basis. Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed the police officers to intensify the operations in collaboration with the district administration to curb mafia from hoarding flour, sugar, ghee and essential commodities of common man.
He stressed upon arresting the violators and bringing them behind the bars immediately. IG Punjab has tasked DPOs, RPOs of all districts to crack down on personal surveillance while Special Branch has been tasked to conduct secret surveillance and identify violators. He said that hoarding and profiteering would be dealt iron handily.
