Lahore, January 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Elite force is the vanguard of Punjab Police to deal with hardened terrorists, ruthless criminals and extremely difficult operations. IG Punjab said that training exercises/ drills should be continued for immediate response to emergencies. He stressed upon to hire services of skilled instructors from different institutions to improve response rate of elite forces and hone capabilities of elite personnel. Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed to ensure effective use of elite force deployed ranges so that suppression mechanism of dangerous criminals could be expedited.
He said that negligence in field duty is unacceptable and elite personnel should perform their duties with utmost diligence. IG Punjab said that the trainee elite youth should get professional training with utmost diligence and perform their duties as a sacred obligation. He directed the officers to resolve the issues related to welfare of personnel on priority basis. In addition to modern professional training, the best facilities should be imparted to trainees. He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting during his visit to Elite Training School here today while addressing Darbar of personnel.
On arrival at the Elite Training School, a well-armed contingent of elite personnel saluted IG Punjab, after which IG Punjab inspected the weapons, modern equipment and other facilities used by the elite. IG Punjab also inspected the mock exercise and firing practice of elite force personnel. Addressing to Police Darbar, IG Punjab listened to problems of the elite personnel and issued immediate orders for their redressal. Instructing the troops, IG Punjab said that Elite Force and Special Operations Unit should keep their morale high and fulfill every responsibility assigned by the department with diligence, professionalism and honesty.
IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan presented certificates of appreciation and cash prizes among the best performing soldiers, briefed about available facilities and ongoing projects. Instructing the elite personnel, IG Punjab said that all available resources should be utilized for the provision of state-of-the-art weapons and other equipments so that the personnel could continue to set an example of courage and professionalism in field. He further said that the training modules of the personnel should be kept updated as per the new requirements. At the end of his visit, IG Punjab planted a sapling at Elite Police training school under Plantation campaign.
