IG Punjab Prioritizes Swift Resolution of Police Employee Issues

Lahore, Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has issued a directive for the immediate resolution of issues faced by police employees and their families, emphasizing prompt action and welfare as top priorities.

According to Punjab Police, during a meeting at the Central Police Office today, IG Punjab listened to various requests from police personnel and their families, directing immediate relief measures. Specific cases addressed included the redirection of an investigation involving ASI Muhammad Arif’s son, personal hearings for the wife of Shabbir Ahmad, and medical assistance for ASI Faisal and others. Dr. Anwar also ordered the recruitment of ASI Muhammad Ashraf’s son as a constable driver and facilitated a transfer request for Head Constable Ali Akbar. The IG stressed the importance of supervisors ensuring that applications related to professional and welfare issues are handled promptly, with necessary cooperation from the Central Police Office when required.
