IG Punjab Prioritizes Employee Welfare and Prompt Relief Measures

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with police employees and their families, emphasizing the importance of addressing the professional and personal issues faced by the force to ensure they can focus on their duties. Dr. Anwar highlighted the role of supervisory officers in implementing timely measures and stressed the need for the Welfare Branch to provide assistance in health, education, and other areas for employees’ families, utilizing the welfare fund effectively.

According to Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar forwarded applications concerning seniority fixation and promotion by Sub Inspector Sajid Noor, ASI Sharafat Ali, and other officials to the Additional IG Punjab for relief. He directed the DIG Welfare to process the request of the daughter of the late ASI Ghulam Nabi for her father to be declared a martyr and ensure payment of dues. Relief was instructed for Constable Rafaqat Ali regarding his son’s medical treatment, and for the wife of martyr Constable Muhammad Hanif concerning her son’s junior clerk recruitment request. Dr. Anwar also directed the AIG Admin to grant Junior Clerk Almas Shakeel’s transfer request from Punjab Constabulary to Gujranwala and instructed the DIG Welfare to provide financial assistance to Constable Atiq ur Rehman for house construction. Further orders were issued to address other administrative, disciplinary, and welfare-related requests promptly.
