Lahore, The Punjab Police, under the leadership of Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken a significant step towards enhancing the health and welfare of its personnel and their families through a partnership with the Lahore Lines Welfare Organization. An MOU signed between the two entities promises to offer specialized healthcare services at discounted rates, particularly focusing on eye and dental treatments.

According to Punjab Police, the agreement, formalized in a ceremony at the Central Police Office, will ensure that police employees and their families, especially the families of martyred officers, receive substantial healthcare benefits. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and Muhammad Danish Siddique, Chairman of the Lahore Lines Welfare Organization, inked the MOU, outlining the services and discounts to be provided under the partnership.

The MOU stipulates that families of police martyrs will benefit from free cornea transplant and phaco cataract surgeries at facilities affiliated with the Lahore Lines Welfare Organization. Additionally, serving police employees will have priority access to cornea donations, with surgical costs covered by the police department. A notable feature of the agreement is the substantial discounts on surgical procedures, offering 50% off for the families of martyrs and 25% off for in-service police personnel for both eye and dental treatments.

The collaboration also includes plans for joint efforts in promoting awareness and education regarding the treatment of eye diseases among the police community. During the ceremony, IG Punjab expressed his gratitude to the Lahore Lines Welfare Organization for their support in improving the health and welfare of police employees. Muhammad Danish Siddique highlighted the commitment to using high-quality corneas imported from Sri Lanka for the treatment of police personnel, underscoring the quality of care being extended under this initiative.

Present at the event were Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salah ud din, AIG Welfare Amara Shirazi, DSP Welfare Nadeem Siddique, and other notable officers, marking a unified effort towards the well-being of the Punjab Police force and their families.
