IG Punjab Orders Swift Action After Fatal School Van Shooting in Attock

Attock: In a tragic incident in Attock, two female students were killed and five others were injured when their school van was attacked. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken decisive action, calling for an immediate investigation and the arrest of the perpetrators.

According to Punjab Police, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has directed the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi to deliver a detailed report on the incident and has instructed the District Police Officer (DPO) Attock, Sardar Ghayas Gul, to form a special team to ensure the culprits are captured swiftly. Initial findings suggest the van driver was the intended target due to personal enmity, which tragically impacted the students.

DPO Attock further noted that the injured parties are receiving treatment at DHQ Hospital and that a forensic team is actively collecting evidence at the scene. Dr. Anwar emphasized the need for quick justice for the victims’ families and severe penalties for those found responsible.
