IG Punjab Mandates Strict Construction Standards for Police Training Facilities

Lahore: The Punjab Police are intensifying efforts to enhance the infrastructure and training standards of the Elite Police Training School, with a clear directive from Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar to uphold high construction standards and adhere to strict project timelines.

According to Punjab Police announcement issued on 10 August 2024, Dr. Anwar chaired a crucial meeting at the Central Police Office today, focusing on the ongoing development projects at the Elite Training School and Headquarters on Bedian Road. He emphasized the importance of modernizing training methods and improving the quality of accommodation, food, and security, especially for international delegations.

The meeting was attended by Additional IG Elite Dr. Muhammad Waqar Abbasi, DIG Elite Mansoor-ul-Haq, AIG Development Sahibzada Bilal Omar, and other senior officers. Dr. Abbasi reported on the progress of the development projects, noting that enhancements to world-class facilities in hostels, rest houses, barracks, messes, cafeterias, and kitchens are underway. IG Punjab highlighted the necessity for supervisory officers to personally oversee the completion of these projects swiftly and efficiently.

Dr. Anwar’s directive underscores his commitment to elevating the standards of police training facilities to international levels, ensuring that they meet the rigorous demands of modern policing.
