Lahore: Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, commended the police force for their comprehensive security measures during the Independence Day festivities across the province.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar praised the diligence and performance of the police in Lahore and other regions, noting that their efforts ensured a peaceful environment for citizens to celebrate the national holiday. The IG highlighted that the police effectively maintained law and order, managed traffic amidst large crowds, and provided enhanced security at parks and recreational spots, focusing particularly on the safety of families and women.
Dr. Anwar recognized the contributions of various units within the force, including the Special Branch, Counter-Terrorism Department, traffic police, and Dolphin Force. He expressed gratitude to all personnel for their dedication and urged them to continue serving with the same commitment to public safety in the future.
