Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, paid tribute to four Rahim Yar Khan police officers who were martyred in a violent confrontation with dacoits in Kacha Machka. The solemn homage highlighted the officers’ bravery and the ongoing commitment to justice.
According to Punjab Police, the deceased include Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ramzan and Punjab Constabulary personnel Imtiaz, Jahangir, and Tariq. The funeral prayers for the fallen officers were held at the Sadiq Shaheed Police Lines in Rahim Yar Khan, attended by high-ranking officials, family members, and representatives from various sectors of society. An elaborate police squad honored the martyrs with salutes and floral wreaths.
Dr. Anwar reiterated the department’s dedication to safeguarding the public and pursuing the criminals responsible for the attack. He assured continued support for the families of the slain officers, emphasizing that their sacrifice would never be forgotten. Further, regional police leaders underscored their resolve to strengthen operations against criminal elements in the area, ensuring enhanced security measures and strategic enforcement.
