IG Punjab Honors Constable Abid Ali, Martyred in Faisalabad Encounter

Faisalabad: Constable Abid Ali, who was killed in a shootout with criminals in Faisalabad, was honored by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, for his ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The tribute highlighted the bravery and dedication of Constable Ali, reaffirming the department’s commitment to the welfare of his family.

According to Punjab Police, the incident occurred near Thikriwala Police Station when a police patrol attempted to stop suspicious motorcyclists. The suspects responded with gunfire, fatally wounding Constable Ali in the chest and neck. In the ensuing exchange, one suspect was killed, and another escaped, with police operations ongoing to apprehend the fugitive.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad, Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, expressed his condolences and visited Allied Hospital to meet with the martyr’s family, pledging comprehensive support and asserting that the welfare of the martyr’s family remains a priority for the police force.
