IG Punjab Honors 59 Police Officers for Exceptional Service

Lahore, In a commendable move to recognize outstanding police work, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes to 59 officers and officials for their exemplary performance in duty. The ceremony, held at the Central Police Office, celebrated the achievements of personnel from constable to inspector rank who have made significant contributions in combating organized crime, drug trafficking, and providing exemplary services to citizens.

According to Punjab Police, the awarded officers include 28 from Sialkot, 4 from Jhang, 2 each from Hafizabad, Chiniot, Khanewal, and DG Khan, 10 from Rawalpindi, 3 each from Vehari and Multan, and 1 from Mianwali. Their efforts have played a crucial role in enhancing public safety and security across the province.

During the ceremony, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar lauded the officers and officials for their bravery and dedication to duty. He urged them to continue their efforts with even greater diligence and emphasized the importance of intelligence-based operations to further suppress crime and apprehend miscreants. Specifically, Dr. Anwar highlighted the need for targeted operations against drug trafficking, especially in areas surrounding educational institutions and hostels, to protect young citizens from the menace of drugs.

The event was attended by notable figures including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment II Zeeshan Asghar, AIG Discipline Shaista Nadeem, AIG Welfare Sajid Khokhar, and AIG Admin Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, who all witnessed the recognition of these officers’ valor and commitment to their duty.

The ceremony underscores the Punjab Police’s commitment to acknowledging and rewarding the hard work and achievements of its personnel, setting a precedent for excellence within the force.
