Mandi Bahauddin: In a significant gesture of respect and support for the families of fallen officers, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken active steps to enhance the welfare of the families of police martyrs in the region. Recently, the family of Constable Muhammad Shabbir, who was killed in the line of duty, was gifted a fully furnished home in Shalimar Town, valued at 13.5 million PKR.
According to Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar is committed to acknowledging the sacrifices made by police officers who have lost their lives while serving the community. The latest example of this commitment is the provision of a house to the family of Constable Muhammad Shabbir, a police officer from Mandi Bahauddin who died heroically last February. The four-marla house, located in Tehsil Phalia, is equipped with all necessary amenities tailored to the family’s needs.
Constable Muhammad Shabbir achieved martyrdom while saving a woman’s life under the jurisdiction of Bhagat Police Station in Mandi Bahauddin. Following his heroic act, the Punjab government, spurred by a special initiative from IG Punjab, released the necessary funds to support Shabbir’s family by providing them with a new home. Dr. Usman Anwar, while paying tribute to Shabbir, emphasized that his actions exemplified the bravery expected of Punjab Police officers and that such sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Furthermore, Dr. Anwar highlighted the ongoing commitment of Punjab Police to the welfare of over 1,600 martyrs’ families and 1,700 brave ghazis, assuring that efforts to support them will continue unabated.
