Lahore, October 06, 2022 (PPI-OT):Inspector General Police Punjab Faisal Shahkar paid a surprise visit to Gaddafi Stadium to review the security arrangements for the final match of Pakistan England T20 series and reviewed the security arrangements inside and outside the stadium. IG Punjab observed the process of monitoring the spectators inside the stadium from the control room.

Speaking to the officers, IG Punjab said that a special plan has been adopted for the security of the final match and in view of the high-profile match, the security has been beefed up from three layered to four layered. IG Punjab said that the process of monitoring with Safe City cameras is underway inside and outside the stadium and plainclothes personnel have also been deployed to keep an eye on any suspicious activity.

IG Punjab said that more than 12,000 personnel of Lahore Police are performing their duties and they will continue to perform their high alert duties till the safe return of all the spectators and transfer of the teams to the hotels at the end of the match.

IG Punjab said that security personnel and traffic wardens will remain on duty till late night so that citizens do not face any problem. IG Punjab said that cricket fans are fully enjoying the final match and all resources have been utilized for the security of fans and players. CCPO Lahore and DIG Operations briefed IG Punjab about the special arrangements made at the stadium.
